There are causes and there are effects. There is free human action and its results, or what is sometimes called "karma". Avatar Adi Da Intervenes in karmas, and His Blessing-Influence can — and often does — change a situation for the better.
But, as He has Revealed, He is not the proposed "Creator-God", with ultimate power over beings, capable of changing any and all destiny at will. He is not the "good luck God", who bestows hoped-for good fortune, like a good job or good health.
That idea of "God" — as a Parent-Deity who sometimes responds (and sometimes doesn’t) to the pleas of His children — is a myth, a desperate belief, generated and elaborated throughout the world by human beings in our suffering and bewilderment.
Ultimately, the conditional realm of time and space, of cause and effect, is an infinitely complex, ever-changing, mysterious maze of mortal destiny. Avatar Adi Da has called it a "fistful of dust" — and He is not a magician, changing dust into Light. He is the Liberator, Awakening beings beyond dust, into their prior identity as Light:
I make My Compassionate Gestures, but it is simply My Nature to Do so. My Fundamental Work is relative to the process of Realization.

And that Liberating Work is also not an automaticity.
If I could simply sit in My room and Enlighten the whole world by three o’clock this afternoon, I would be happy to do so. But it does not work that way.
There is a necessary transformative process that you must engage. And I have Revealed it to you.

The basis of that transformative process, Avatar Adi Da says, is being fundamentally disillusioned with the temporary satisfactions and inevitable dead ends of conditional existence, and therefore intensely and passionately purposed to the Freedom of Divine Enlightenment.
Avatar Adi Da has spoken of His own serious process, or "sadhana", of Divine Re-Awakening:
In this Body there has never been a day, a breath, a moment, wherein the Great Matter of Divine Realization was not the matter of profound importance. All the terribleness and inevitabilities in mortal life were immediately clear to Me, and felt most profoundly.
Fear and suffering were immediately, tangibly obvious to Me and experienced by Me, from the earliest days of My Life. And so everything that has to do with Ultimacy has been the matter of importance of every moment of My Life.
For the serious person — the truly serious person — that is the way it is.
It is not that you become serious when you are associated somehow — yourself or some relation — with illness and bad luck. Every moment is serious to the extreme, because of the nature of bondage to conditional existence.

In other words, Avatar Adi Da is saying that the same experience and motive that brings people to Him for His Compassionate Blessing — the experience of fear and suffering, and the motive to be free of that — would, if fully felt, motivate a person to come to Him for His Liberating Blessing. In fact, He has even compared non-Realization to illness:
Non-Realization is the worst cancer in the universe. It is the worst sickness. It is the most horrific disease.
Its implications cover the entirety of everyone’s life. The world is filled with its symptoms and reeks with its torments and potentials, coming from all directions, most of which people cannot even see.

If non-Realization is so horrific, why would you or anyone else not be interested in Realization?
Speaking frankly and fiercely as the Divine Liberator, Avatar Adi Da explains very clearly why this is:
People are immune. Their patterns of body-mind keep them immune. Their self-indulgent habits keep them immune. Their distractedness with the various things of life and desire make them immune. Their lack of discrimination. Their inability to understand what is going on. Their complete unavailability to understand what is going on. Their naïve presumptions. Their virtually infinite capacity to accept lies and be diverted by deadly nonsense.
People do not know they are unwell.
